Zalmi win against Kings by a record score of 159 runs

In the 17th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 159 runs.

In front of Peshawar Zalmi’s target of 247 runs, Karachi Kings were defeated by 87 runs.

In this match played in Karachi, Karachi Kings won and invited Peshawar Zalmi to the front and this decision was a disaster for them.

Zalmi did not get off to a good start, losing the wicket of striker Muhammad Haris, who was bowled by spinner Khush Dil Shah.

However, after that, captain Babar Azam played the responsibility and Kaushal Mendes scored his highest score in PSL, while Babar Azam also crossed 12 thousand runs in T20 cricket.

Kaushal Mendes scored 109 runs off 52 balls which included 14 fours and 4 towering sixes.

Babar Azam and Kaushal Mendes shared a partnership of 191 runs for the second wicket, the highest partnership in PSL history.

Mendes was dismissed by Abbas Afridi in the 17th over, while Bracewell’s innings was also completed by Abbas in the same over.

In the final moments, Abdul Samad played unbeaten with 40 runs off 12 balls and the total team reached 246 runs.

On the other hand, captain Babar Azam scored 87 runs from 51 balls. It contains 10 fours and 2 sixes.

Peshawar Zalmi scored 246 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Abbas Afridi and Khushdil Shah managed to take 2 wickets for Kings Karachi.

Chasing the target, the entire Karachi Kings team collapsed for just 87 runs in the 17th over. Azam Khan 25, Saad Baig 14 and Khush Dil Shah were the standout batsmen with 10 runs, while no other player could get into double figures.

Pesheva Zalmi dogs also did not lag behind in their performance. Zalmi’s Nahid Rana took 3 wickets for 7 runs, Iftikhar Ahmed took 3 wickets for 9 runs and Safian Moqim took 3 wickets for 18 runs and one player was dismissed by Shoreful Islam.

Peshawar Zalmi batsman Kaushal Mendis was adjudged the man of the match for scoring a fine century.

With this win, Peshawar Zalmi’s team moved to the second place in the points table with 7 points and a better rate.
