The Pakistan Cricket Board has released a new fitness policy for the 2026-27 domestic cricket season.

The PCB has released a new fitness policy for the 2026-27 domestic cricket season that will be applicable to local, divisional, district and regional teams.

Director of Sports and Health Medicine Javed Mughal has prepared a two-level fitness plan.

The new fitness policy was formulated according to the critical international requirements.

The first phase will involve local division teams, first grade and second grade and will have 11 different trials, the second phase will involve players from the senior teams, U-19, U-17 and U-15 and will have 8 trials.

A player who scores 8 or more red points in the first round will be declared failed, while a player who scores six or more red points in the second round will be deemed to have failed the fitness test.

Athletes who fail the fitness test will have to complete all the tests again. Successful athletes will be reevaluated after six months.
