The Indian Cricket Board has dropped T20 captain Surya Kumar Yadav from the team due to unwell condition.
According to Indian media reports, Surya Kumar Yadav has been stripped of the captaincy 3 months after the team won the T20 World Cup at home.
According to a senior BCCI official told a private Indian channel that the selection committee, BCCI and the team management after consulting with coach Gautam Gambhir have decided that India will now move forward with a new captain.
He said that under the captaincy of Surya Kumar, the team should have won the T20 World Cup, but considering his recent form and past, everyone believed that now is the time to move on.
The Indian board will now appoint the new captain after consulting the team management and the selection committee.

The decision comes ahead of the Ireland and England tours which start later this month.
The Indian team will play a five-match T20 series in England after the two T20 matches in Ireland.
On the other hand, Vibhau Suryavanshi, who has shown excellent performance in the IPL, may be included in the team.
The big questions for the selectors are before the Indian T20I teams are selected for the T20I series in Ireland and England and the Asian Games. https://t.co/jk7HoxjGU9 pic.twitter.com/xbw8Jurwsi
