At the Pakistan Tennis Federation’s annual meeting in Islamabad, the wrist test was made mandatory for selected players from January 1, 2027.
The annual meeting of the Tennis Federation was held under the supervision of the President of the General Federation Easimul Haqi Qureshi in Islamabad and Senator Salim Seyfullah, General Secretary Colonel Ziauddin and members of the units and management committees from all over the country participated.
In the meeting, the development of tennis, public programs and improvement of infrastructure were discussed in detail.
Emphasis was placed on holding more international tournaments in the country and providing opportunities to players at the world level.
On top of this, new rules were adopted for the U-12, 14 and 16 teams and from January 1, 2027 hand testing was mandatory for selected players.
According to the statement, a grace period of up to one year will be granted.
