The Pakistan Cricket Board has prepared for a massive operation, a change in Test captaincy is being considered, Salman Ali Agha may be replaced by Shan Masood, a major change in the coaching set-up has been decided.
According to the details, there is a high possibility of major changes in the Pakistan Cricket Board at the administrative and other levels. According to sources, there is a possibility that an important meeting will be held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Mohsin Naqvi, where the main decisions will be taken about the national cricket system, important posts and team issues.
According to the sources, the change of the leadership of the Test team is also being considered, the possibility of removing Shan Masood from the duties is shown and the general manager Salman Ali Axa is seen for the leadership instead. It is expected that the final decision in this regard will be made in the meeting.
It is worth noting that Shan Masood became the captain of the Pakistan Test Team before the tour of Australia in 2023. His reign started with a 3-0 defeat. In total, he has captained the Pakistan team in 16 Test matches so far.
Similarly, there are reports of major changes in the team’s management and coaching set-up. There is uncertainty over the future of former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, with former captain Younis Khan being considered as the Test captain.
