Report: Soheyl Imran. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the four-team ODI tournament next month.
According to the PCB, a four-team tournament will be played in August before the start of the first-class season.
In this regard, the Director of the High Performance Center Aqib Javed says that the 2027 World Cup is about a year and a half away and it is time to start preparations.
Aqib Jawid said that the tournament is being held to prepare a pool of players before the World Cup.
He said the selectors and coaches have designed a four-team tournament in which all white-ball players will participate.
Aqeeb Jawid also said, the selectors and coaches will make eleven according to the role of each player and from the tournament we will know which pool to move forward with.
He also said that the matches will be televised, everyone’s performance will be revealed, polls will be easy.
Aqib Javed said that Pakistan team’s rank in ODIs should be fourth, rank below that is not considered, now there will be a jump in the rank.
