In the U-18 Asia Hockey Cup played in Japan, the Indian team received gold medals from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) President Taib Ikram.
Team India defeated Japan by 4 goals to 1 in the final of the tournament, the winning team was awarded the gold medals by Pakistan’s Tayyab Ikram.
On this occasion, Tayyib Ikram tied the gold medal with the Indian players and shook hands with the Indian players.
Earlier in the final, India beat Japan 4-1 thanks to Ashish Tani’s hat-trick.
In the competition, Japan was second, Pakistan was third and Malaysia was fourth.
