Sri Lanka Cricket Board President Shami Silva has resigned.
In this regard, Sri Lanka Cricket says that the Managing Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket has also resigned along with Shami Silva.
Sri Lanka Cricket said that Shami Silva and members of the management committee have informed Sports Minister Sunil Kumar Gamage about the resignation.
On the other hand, the Sri Lankan media says that after the resignation of Shami Silva and the executive committee, the interim administration will take over.
Sri Lankan media has said that banker Erin Wickramaratne is a strong candidate to take over Sri Lankan cricket.
