Bulawayo: Zimbabwe’s veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza has become the most capped cricketer for his country.
The 40-year-old Sikander Raza played his 314th international match in the match played in Bulawayo, breaking former captain Hamilton Masakadza’s record of 313 international matches.
Sikandar Raza couldn’t recall the historic feat with the win as Bangladesh won the third and decided T20I win by 4 wickets to level the three-match series 1-2.
Sikander Raza made his debut for Zimbabwe in 2013 against Bangladesh and has played 22 Tests, 156 ODIs and 136 T20I matches so far.
In the series-deciding match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, Zimbabwe decided to bat first and scored 143 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, but Bangladesh went two goals down thanks to Hasan’s 66 runs not out by Tanzi.
