Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will make his first appearance in the Lankan Premier League (LPL) where he will represent Kandy Royals.
The Lanka Premier League announced Shah Afridi’s inclusion through social media platforms. The Lankan Premier League will be played from July 17 to August 8.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was recently left out of Pakistan’s squad for the Test series against West Indies and England.
In total, Shahin Shah Afridi has taken 362 wickets in T20 cricket and 136 wickets in T20 international cricket. Kandy Royals will play their first match in the tournament on July 18 against Dambulla Sixers.
A total of five teams will participate in the tournament, including Jaffna Kings, Colombo Caps, Kandy Royals, Galle Gallants and Dambulla Sixers.
Keep in mind that this will be Shaheen Shah Afridi’s second appearance in a foreign T20 league in a year. He previously represented Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League, where he managed to take just two wickets in four matches.
