Sarfaraz Ahmed appointed coach for Test series against Bangladesh

The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 16-member squad for the Test series against Bangladesh.

According to details, Shaan Masood will continue to lead the Test team while four new players have been included in the squad.

Five players in the squad are heading to the ongoing NCA Red Ball Camp in Lahore.

The national Test team will join the camp in Karachi on April 27. The camp will end on May 1 and the team will leave for Bangladesh on May 2.

The players participating in PSL 11 will join the camp after completing the matches of their teams.

Former Test captain Sarfraz Ahmed has been appointed as the head coach for the Bangladesh tour. Former cricketers Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul will be the batting and bowling coaches.

Squad:

Shan Masood (captain), Abdullah Fazal, Imad Butt, Azan Oweys, Babar Azam, Hassan Ali, Imamul Haqi, Khurram Shehzad, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Qazi Ghori, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Akha, Saud Shakil, Shaheen Shaheen.

The first test match between the two teams will be played on May 8 and the second on May 16.
