PSL XI: Islamabad United beat Multan Sultans to qualify for Qualifiers

In the 40th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) XI, Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans to qualify for the tournament.

In the match that was played at the national stadium in Karachi, Islamabad Yekgirtu successfully reached the target of 193 runs on the 19th and moved from the third place to the second place in the points table and now on April 28th, they are competing against Zalmi.

Mark Chapman played a smoke ball 33 with the help of 6 sixes and 4 fours with 69 runs and played an important role in the team’s success.

In the match, dropped batsmen, poor fielding and errors in giving away extra runs weighed heavily on Multan Sultans, as did poor bowling in the last overs.

Earlier, Multan Sultans had given Islamabad United a target of 193 runs to win, Multan Sultans made a remarkable comeback in the last overs and scored 192 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. At one point, United seemed to have taken control of the match, but in the last five overs, Multan have turned the tide of the match.

Multan Sultans got off to a great start in the powerplay, the openers put on 60 runs, in the middle overs, Islamabad United stopped the runs with excellent bowling, but in the death overs, the Sultans were fuming.

Shaan Masood of Multan Sultans 44, Sahibzada Farhan and Steve Smith 30, 30, Arafat Minhas 31 and Wasim Jr. They scored 26 goals.

All 6 bowlers of Islamabad United took one wicket, the spinners bowled well, Faheem Ashraf kept the pressure on himself, Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Chris Green, Salman Irshad and Salman Mirza each got a wicket.
