PSL 11: PCB announces team of the tournament, Babar Azam named captain

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squad for the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament where Peshawar captain Zalmi Babar Azam has been named as the captain of the team.

According to PCB, Babar Azam was awarded this honor on the basis of his excellent batting and his excellent leadership. He consistently performed well throughout the tournament and played a key role in his team’s title win.

In PSL 11, Babar Azam was not only among the top scorers, but he also made Peshawar Zalmi the champions under his stewardship, which is considered as a major achievement of his career.

The tournament team includes other notable players who have performed well in fielding, bowling and all-round performance, but the responsibility of leadership has been given to Babar Azam.

Other players in the Team of the Tournament are Fakhar Zaman, Kaushal Mundis, Shaan Masood, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan, Hasan Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Haneen Shah, Safian Muqim, Richard Gleeson and Hassan Nawaz.

According to cricket experts, Babar Azam’s leadership and consistency made him the strongest candidate for this award, while his performance once again proved that he belongs among Pakistan’s batsmen.
