Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed Dutch coach Herman Kruis as the National Hockey Coaching Consultant.
Herman Kruis is a renowned Dutch ice hockey coach and high performance specialist and has been appointed for an initial 2-year term.
PHF president Mohiuddin Wani says the new mentors will guide and develop the senior and junior national teams.
Mohiuddin Wani said that Herman Kruis will take over his duties with the national team from the start of the Hockey World Cup and this appointment is part of the comprehensive strategy to revive the national hockey.
He said innovative coaching, talent development and high performance system will be introduced in Pakistan Hockey.
President Muhyeddin Wani said that PHF is getting more world class coaches to revive Pakistan Hockey.
It is worth mentioning that after the World Cup, Herman Kruis will lead the preparation of important events, including the Asian Games.
