Peshawar Zalmi’s unbeaten run in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) continues as Zalmi beat event favorites Multan Sultans by 24 runs.

In this match which was played at National Stadium Karachi, Multan Sultans won and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat first.

Peshawar Zalmi got off to a flying start thanks to the smoking batting of Muhammad Haris, but Haris got out after scoring 38 runs off 17 balls.

The newcomer was Kaushal Mendis, who scored his third consecutive half-century for Zalmi. He played an excellent knock of 68 runs off 40 balls.

Farhan Yusif 30, captain Babar Azam 18, Michael Bracewell 14 and Iftihar Ahmed 10 runs were dismissed.

For Sultans of Multan, Muhammad Ismail and Peter Siddle took two wickets each, Muhammad Nawaz and Muhammad Wasim took one wicket each.

In pursuit of the target, Multan Sultans got off to a lightning fast start, where Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed after playing 17 runs, but the team’s run rate remained intact.

Steve Smith 31, Josh Flappi 32 and Shaun Masood scored 35 runs but could not take their team to the winning line and the entire team managed to score 172 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Safyan Moqim of Peshawar Zalmi played a major role in the team’s success and took 3 wickets in 4 overs, while fast bowler Nahid Rana supported them with 24 runs in 4 overs and two dismissals.

Iftihar Ahmed also took 2 wickets and Amir Jamal, who was expensive, also dismissed a player.

Peshawar Zalmi Safian Moqim was the Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.

The chief of Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Ezam, said that no changes have been made in the team. A score of 180 to 190 would be good in this area.
