Pakistan’s 16-member squad announced for the series against Australia

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 16-member squad for the home series against Australia later this month.

Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas and Rohail Nazir have joined the national ODI squad for the 3-series ODI series against Australia under the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Babar Azam, Rohail Nazir, Arafat Minhas, Shadab Khan, Nasim Shah, Ahmed Daniyal and Sufian Moqim joined the team and Faheem Ashraf, Faisal Akram, Hussain Talat, Muhammad Rizwan, Wasim Jr and Saad Masood were also dismissed. Muhammad Qazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir have been included in the team as batsmen.

According to the PCB, Usman Khan has not been considered for the ODI series against Australia due to illness, while Fakhar Zaman and Saeem Ayub will continue the rehabilitation program due to injuries.

The 16-member squad for the ODI series against Australia consists of Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Salman Ali Akha (vice-captain), Abdul Samed, Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal and Arafat Minhas.

Apart from them, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Muaz Sadeqat, Muhammad Khazi Khori, Nasim Shah, Rohail Nazir, Sahibzada Farhan, Shadab Khan, Shamil Hussain and Sufian Muqim are also included in the group of 16 people against Australia.

Note that team physio Cliff Deacon has been replaced by new physio Iftikhar.

The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from May 30 to June 4. The Australian cricket team will arrive in Islamabad on May 23.
