Pakistani father and daughter made history in the Horse Dressage Championship, 14-year-old Aswa Marjan Niazi managed to become the first in the world championship scheduled in Russia. After this great success, Aswa Marjan Niyazi was selected for the Asian Archery Cup Championship that will be held in China. Father Najib Niazi also won a silver medal for Pakistan. The departure of both athletes to Russia was possible after the permission of the High Court of Lahore.
According to reports, FIA Sub-Inspector Najeeb Niazi and his 14-year-old daughter Asoha Marjan Niazi have highlighted the name of Pakistan at the world level by winning the first place in the International Horse Killing Championship held in Russia.
Aswa’s father, Inspector Najib Niazi, got the second rank. Prior to this success, the participation of both players in international competitions was uncertain when they could not get permission to travel abroad at the department level.
Later, after the timely legal assistance of Mr. Khalid Ishaq from the Lahore High Court and the permission of the court, his departure to Russia was possible. Thanks to the court’s decision, Najib Niyazi and Aswa Marjan Niyazi got the opportunity to represent Pakistan, as a result they excelled in the international competition and won the honor of that country.
During the championship, the young Pakistani player, Aswa Marjan Niyazi, showed incredible skill and confidence and won the first rank, while her father, Inspector Najib Niyazi, got the second rank. This outstanding achievement on the world level by two members of the same family is described as a unique and proud honor in the history of sports.
Isoh Marjan Niyazi successfully completed the 90 second hunting course which is considered the most difficult event of the competition. In this event riding a horse and hitting 16 different targets in a very short time requires exceptional skill, physical balance, quick decision making and high marksmanship. He gained complete control of the horse during the demonstration.
His extraordinary performance impressed the players, judges and officials of Pakistan, Russia and other countries participating in the competition. After this great success, Asoha Marjan Niyazi was selected for the Asian Archery Cup Championship that will be held in China.
He is the youngest horse archer in the history of Pakistan to have the honor of representing the country in international competitions of this level. Mohammad Azhar Siddiq, chairman of the Judicial Aviation Panel, which includes sports circles, say that the success of Najib Niyazi and Aswa Marjan Niyazi can be an important milestone for the development of horse racing in Pakistan.
Various social, sporting and government circles congratulated the two players on this historic achievement and hoped to win more honors for Pakistan in future international competitions.
