The national test team under the captaincy of Babar Azam leaves Islamabad for West India today.

The Pakistan team will play a two-match Test series in the West Indies. After playing a two-day match on Saturday, the Pakistani players rested on Sunday.

On the other hand, PCB has appointed former international Mansoor Amjad as the coach of Pakistan team instead of Abdul Saad. Initially, PCB appointed Shane McDermitt with the Pakistan Test team but he submitted his resignation after reaching Australia even though his belongings are still in Lahore.

Apart from Mansour Emced, there has been no change in the management of the team. Sarfraz Ahmed is the head coach, Asad Shafiq is the batting coach and Umer Gul is the bowling coach.

Pakistan’s 16-member squad includes captain Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Imam-ul-Haq, Azhan Oweys, Abdullah Fazal, Salman Ali Akha, Khazi Ghori and Muhammad Rizwan.

Apart from them, there are Sajid Khan, Ali Usman, Amir Jamal, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Abbas, Obed Shah, Oweys Zafar and Khurram Shahzad.

It is worth mentioning that Shan Masood is leaving the team as a player after three years as captain.

The first Test of the two-Test series between Pakistan and West Indies will be played from July 25 and the second Test from August 2.

Be aware that the Pakistan Test team will arrive in England after the West Indies for a three-match Test series.

Test matches between Pakistan and England team will be played from August 19, August 27 and September 9.
