Pakistan team suffered a major blow ahead of the ODI series against Australia, opening batsmen Fakhar Zaman and Saeem Ayub will not be available for the three-match ODI series.

According to the statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), both players are recovering from their injuries and these two cricketers are rehabilitating under the supervision of PCB medical staff.

According to the PCB, Fakhar Zaman and Saeem Ayub have been left out of selection for the ODI series against Australia starting May 30 so they can be fully fit.

The board wished both players a speedy recovery and hoped they would be back in action soon.

The PCB says that further updates on the squad and the fitness of other players will be released at a later date.

The Australian Cricket Team will arrive in Islamabad on May 23. The One Day International series between Pakistan and Australia will be played from May 30 to June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
