The good news for Pakistan cricket has come that the International Cricket Council has given another mega event to Pakistan.
According to ICC, Pakistan will host the T20 Women’s World Cup 2028 which was officially confirmed in the last meeting. In the past, Pakistan has hosted major events, including the Champions Trophy and now another global tournament.
A total of 12 teams will participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2028. The tournament format will see 10 teams qualify directly, including the top eight teams for the 2026 Women’s World Cup, the host nation (if not already qualified) and the top-ranked team in the ICC Women’s T206 rankings on July 2.
The remaining two teams will be decided through the Global Qualifier tournament, which will also include various regional competition events.
According to the ICC report, the Indian team’s matches are scheduled to be held at a neutral venue and the full details of the tournament and regional division will be decided at the ICC meeting in July.
