Star batsman Joe Root is likely to get the captaincy of England’s Test cricket team again.
According to British press reports, Joe Root may be appointed as the captain after Ben Stokes’ retirement. He will take charge of the Test series against Pakistan.
Media report said Joe Root could remain captain till next year’s Ashes series.
On the other hand, Marcus Trescothick is expected to be appointed as the interim captain of England’s Test team, Trescothick may be given the duties of interim captain in the Test series against Pakistan.
