In the ongoing ITF championship in Islamabad, Mohammad Shoaib reached the singles semifinals.
Pakistan’s Muhammad Shoaib had a brilliant run at the ITF Championship Round Two, reaching the semi-finals in the singles event.
He defeated Kerim Yilmaz of Turkey after a tight match 4-6, 6-7(9).
The other quarter-finalists include Sweden’s Arvid Nordqvist, Russia’s Nikita Ianin and Italy’s Eduardo Cheri.
On the other hand, in the doubles semifinal match, Pakistan’s Muzamil Murtaza and his partner Grigory Lomakin lost against the Russian team of Andrey Konitsen and Nikita Ianin 4-6, 4-6.
In the double final, the Turkish couple Murt Nacî Turker and Maleh Anavatan competed.
