England beat India by 56 runs in the fifth T20I, thanks to Jos Buttler’s brilliant century and excellent performance by the bowlers.

India failed to win any match in the five-match series, thus the host team won the series 0-4. The first match of the series ended in a draw at Chesterley Street due to rain.

First after being beaten in the Rose Bowl, the hosts amassed a massive 257 for 3 in 20 separate overs, led by a historic 233-run partnership between Buttler and captain Harry Brooke.

Chasing a tough target of 258 runs, reigning world champions India, despite half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma, could only manage 201 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs to suffer their fourth consecutive defeat by England.

Ishan Kishan scored 56 runs off 35 balls for the visiting team, while Tilak Verma scored 53 runs off 25 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours.
