In preparation for the 2027 World Cup, the PCB wants to hold a four-team ODI tournament

Report: Soheyl Imran. To prepare a batch of ODI players for next year’s World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board is planning to hold a four-team ODI tournament.

Sources say that the PCB is likely to hold a four-team ODI tournament in Multan from August 11 to 18, hence the possibility of the national cricketers playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) by holding the tournament on these dates.

National cricketers can get NOC for CPL after completion of ODI tournament. The CPL is scheduled from August 7 to September 20.

Moaz Sadaqat, Sahibzada Farhan, Saeem Ayub, Sufyan Muqim, Saad Masood, Usman Khan and Salman Irshad are likely to play in the CPL.

It should be noted that participation in the four-team tournament for white-ball cricketers is mandatory, the PCB wants to prepare a pool of ODI cricketers for next year’s World Cup.
