Pakistan Women’s team suffered another major defeat in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as they lost to Australia by 113 runs after a one-sided match. This is Pakistan’s fourth defeat in this event.
In the match, Australia batted first and scored 199 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted overs. Alysse Perry scored 71 runs with a brilliant batting performance and Georgia Wall supported her with 39 runs.
There was some resistance from Pakistan’s bowling with Nashera Sindhu, Ramin Shamim and Sadiya Iqbal taking 2 wickets each, but overall they could not stop Australia’s bowling.
Chasing the target, the Pakistani batting looked under pressure from the start. Apart from Muniba Ali, none of the batsmen could show significant performance. Muniba played with 32 runs and Fatima Sana came forward with 17 runs.
The entire team was bundled out for 86 runs and thus Pakistan faced defeat by a huge margin of 113 runs.
After this defeat, Pakistan Women’s Team did not get any win in the tournament and now they will play their last group match against Netherlands.
