FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to become the biggest tournament in history with significant growth in teams, matches and revenue. With this award, it reached a record level.

According to media reports, this year’s prize pool is 50 percent more than the previous World Cup held in 2022.

The winning team of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be awarded 50 million dollars and the second team will be awarded 33 million dollars.

The total prize of this mega event, which is held together in the USA, Canada and Mexico, is set at 655 million dollars.

In the match for the third place, England defeated with 6 goals against 4 goals and won the third place and will receive 209 million dollars and 207 million dollars will be paid to the fourth team of France.

According to FIFA, the teams that reach the quarter finals, which include Norway, Belgium, Morocco and Switzerland, will be awarded 19 million dollars per team.

The ninth and sixteenth place teams will be awarded $1.5 million and the seventh and thirty second place teams will be awarded $1.1 million. Similarly, teams from 33rd to 48th place will receive 9 million dollars.

FIFA also announced that an additional 1.5 million dollars was given to each team participating in the tournament for preparation costs.

It is worth mentioning that in the 2022 World Cup, they gave 42 million dollars, and 38 million dollars in 2018.

The $50 million prize for the winning team in 2026 is the largest in World Cup history, reflecting the huge popularity and financial scale of the event.
