England veteran Jordan Henderson was injured while celebrating after their dramatic World Cup pre-quarter-final win over Mexico.
The head coach of the team, Thomas Tuchel, described his injuries as serious and said that the player’s hand was badly damaged.
According to reports, after England won 2-3, Henderson injured his hand when he jumped on a billboard during the celebrations.

He was then taken off the field on his shoulders and taken to the hospital for further examination.

Tuchel said after the match that the initial medical examination showed that the injury was serious, a huge blow to the team’s joy. Henderson is being treated under the supervision of doctors.
Henderson, 36, has had limited opportunities so far at the World Cup and played just a handful of minutes in the group stage match against Panama.
It’s worth noting that England have already suffered a setback due to Reece James’ injury and Jeral Kwansa’s red card, so an injury to Henderson ahead of the quarter-final against Norway could cause more problems for the team.
