Spain defeated France in the first semi-final of the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup where the Spanish team managed to reach the final of the mega competition after 16 years.
Spain won 2-0 against France in the first semi-final match of the FIFA World Cup, which was played at the Dallas Stadium.
Spain started the match very aggressively and soon took control of the game. Spain’s first goal came in the first half when Mikel Oyarzabal scored a penalty in the 22nd minute to give the team the lead and his fifth World Cup goal.
Spain’s second goal in the second half was scored by Pedro Porro in the 58th minute with a beautiful shot and doubled the team’s lead.
In the second half, France tried hard to come back, Mbappe, the star player of France who scored 8 goals in the tournament, could not score despite his effort in this semi-final.
It is worth mentioning that the Spanish team managed to reach the finals after 16 years. In 2010, Spain became the champion of the Football World Cup.
Spain will face the winner of the other semi-final between England and Argentina on Sunday at the stadium in New York, New Jersey.
In the FIFA World Cup, the second semi-final match between Argentina and England will be played tomorrow at the Atlanta stadium.
France, on the other hand, will step up to the third leg on Saturday, where Kylian Mbappe will look to strengthen his position in the race for the Golden Boot.
