The American court decided to ban the hanging of the Iranian flag of the deposed Shah by the world football organization FIFA.
Only the official national flag of Iran will be flown in the stadium during football matches.
Supporters of the deposed Shah were disappointed by the decision of the American court.
It is worth mentioning that the symbolic flag related to the period of the former empire of Iran is similar to the official flag of Iran, but it contains the symbol of the lion and the sun, which is considered as the symbol of the period of the empire before the people’s revolution of 1979.
The case was filed in the District Court of Los Angeles and it was decided that the ban was a violation of freedom of speech, and Judge Curtis A. Kinn, who quickly dealt with the case, decided that the ban would stand.
