The French team managed to reach the semi-finals for the third time in a row

France beat Morocco 2-0 in the first quarter-final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to advance to the semi-finals.

Thanks to the fine performances of captain Mbappe and Dembele, France won the title of the first team to reach the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup by defeating Morocco.

The French team dominated from the beginning of the match. The first half of the match was scoreless, but in the second half, the French team scored 2 goals in 6 minutes and won the match.

The quarter-final match played at the Boston Stadium started in an interesting way. The French team made many attacks on the Moroccan lake. France were awarded a penalty for bringing down Mbappe in the D, but Mbappe’s shot was easily saved by the Moroccan goalkeeper.

In the second half, the French team attacked Morocco several times. Finally, in the 60th minute, Mbappe gave the team the lead, and in the 66th minute, Dembele doubled France’s lead by scoring a beautiful goal.

In the 82nd minute, Morocco received a free kick that was well saved by the French goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Morocco had another chance to score but their player’s attempt failed.

In this way, the French team managed to reach the semi-finals for the third time in a row with the result of 0-2. In the semi-final, France will face the winner of the quarter-final between Belgium and Spain.
