This is the first time since 1958 that the average number of goals per match in the early stages of the World Cup is more than three goals.

So far, 205 corners, 72 offsides, 52 yellow cards and only 3 red cards have been recorded in the tournament.

Lionel Messi of Argentina with 3 goals and Arda Golar of Turkey with 8 goals is the best scorer of the first stage in individual games.

Ivory Coast’s Amad Diallo leads the way with successful dribbles, while Germany’s Joshua Kimmisch has emerged as the standout player with two assists in the early stages.
