Former Pakistan cricket team fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been granted British citizenship, it has been announced.
Muhammad Amir shared a post on his Instagram story in which he talked about getting British citizenship, while the fast bowler’s wife already has British citizenship.
Muhammad Amir, who was part of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 T20 World Cup and the 2017 Champions Trophy, had earlier revealed that he would not play for England as he had previously represented Pakistan.
Muhammad Amir has announced his retirement from international cricket for the second time in 2024. The 34-year-old fast bowler has represented Pakistan in 36 Tests, 61 ODIs and 62 T20 matches.
But last year in the Geo News program he is not allowed to lose, Muhammad Aamir said in response to a question that until next year I have the opportunity to play in the IPL and if I have the opportunity I will play.
