Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Pakistan Football Team for winning the 2026 Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament held in Maldives.
The prime minister in his message on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) said that the great victory in the final against Afghanistan has given a sense of joy and pride to the entire nation.
He also prayed for more success for the players of the national team in the future.

Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also congratulated the Pakistan Football Team for winning the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament in Maldives. He said the green shirts made the entire nation proud by defeating Afghanistan in the final.
Mohsin Naqvi said that footballers wrote history on the field with great play and exceptional spirit. Winning the first international football title after a long time is the beginning of a new era for Pakistan football.
He said that the historic success of the football team is an inspiration and motivation for every athlete. He also praised the work of the players and management and wished for success in future competitions.
