Sylhet: Pakistan’s Test team’s fast bowler Muhammad Abbas scored a big honor on the first day of the second Test against Bangladesh.
During the ongoing match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Muhammad Abbas completed his 100 wickets in overseas Test cricket and the host captain Najamul Hussain Shinto was caught by the wicketkeeper.
Both Bangladesh openers Mehmoodul Hasan and Tanzad Hasan had already been sent to the pavilion after Mohammed Abbas took his third wicket, becoming the sixth fastest Pakistani wicket-taker to take 100 test wickets overseas.
Before him, Wasim Ekrem, Waqar Yunis, Imran Khan, Muhammad Amiri and Umar Gul are also included in this list.
The 36-year-old Muhammad Abbas started his Test career in 2017 and so far has taken 109 Test wickets in 51 tours, of which only 9 wickets have come on Pakistan soil and all other catches have come on foreign soil.
It is worth mentioning that in the second test against Bangladesh, he gave a good hand to Pakistan and took the wicket of Mehmudul Hasan for the second wicket of the match and then broke the initial resistance of Bangladesh by taking the wicket of Tanzad Hasan.
In the first innings, the Bangladesh team was bowled out for a total of 278 runs, Latini Das played a brilliant 126 runs.
