History has been made in T20 international cricket, Brazil women’s team fast bowler Lara Cardoso has created a world record in T20 international cricket.
Lara Cardoso became the first international player in the world to take 9 wickets in an innings.
In the match against the women’s team of the African country Lesotho, Cardoso took 9 wickets with only 4 runs.
Earlier in men’s cricket, Bhutan’s Sonam Yashi took a record of 8 wickets in 2025 and in T20I the record for most wickets in a T20I game was held by Indonesia’s Ruhmalaya with 7 dismissals.
In this match, Brazil scored 202 runs while batting first, but due to Cardoso’s excellent bowling, the Lesotho team was reduced to 13 runs and thus Brazil won by a huge margin of 189 runs.
