Ahead of the third and final Test of the series against New Zealand, the chances of England cricket captain Ben Stokes’ return have brightened.

British media claim that Ben Stokes is likely to lead the team on his return to the England squad, Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson have been interviewed by the Cricket Regulator.

According to the British media, the England Cricket Board has not yet made a final decision, but there was a relaxation during the week and the study on the matter will now be published at the end of the second test.

It may be recalled that captain Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson were dropped from the second Test for breaching team protocols.

Meanwhile, a British newspaper claims that the return of Ben Stokes is possible, but not necessary as captain.

On the other hand, the former all-rounder criticized N Botham for not stepping up against Ben Stokes and said that Ben Stokes has not learned anything, has he?

Ann Botham said no explanation was offered for breaking the curfew after the Lord’s Trial.

Anne Botham recalled the past event and said that in 2017 when there were problems in Bristol, we all supported Ben Stokes, at that time I was the president of the Durham club, I and the whole team supported Ben Stokes.

It is worth mentioning that the final test of the series between the England and New Zealand teams will start from Thursday, while in the second consecutive test match against New Zealand at the Oval, Joe Root will serve as the captain.
