Ahead of the ODI series against the West Indies, the New Zealand cricket team suffered a major blow as fast bowler Ben Sears was ruled out of the squad due to a leg injury.
According to New Zealand Cricket, Ben Sears has been suffering from foot pain since the four-day Test against Ireland in May, and the problem worsened on the final day of the third Test against England at Trent Bridge.
The New Zealand Cricket Board says fast bowler Ben Lister has joined the squad in place of Ben Sears, who will join the team in Guyana in the next few days.
The Kiwi team led by skipper Mitchell Santner will begin the five-match ODI series against the West Indies from July 11 in Guyana.
