Report: Soheyl Imran. Pakistan’s 40-year-old spinner Nauman Ali has been left out of future Test cricket plans, while the think tank is not satisfied with fast bowler Naseem Shah’s work ethic, so he is not considered for Red Ball cricket.
Sources reveal that 40-year-old Nauman Ali has been left out of the future plans of Pakistan’s Test cricket and it has been decided to introduce young spinners in Test cricket in the future.
Nouman Ali was not invited to the Red Ball camp as he does not figure in PCB’s plans and Abrar Ahmed and Sajid Khan will be first choice for the next five Test matches.
Nouman Ali played the last Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka in May and took 4 wickets. He was dropped from the Sylhet Test.
On the other hand, the think tank is not satisfied with the work ethic of pacer Naseem Shah and like Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah also does not feature in Pakistan’s Test plans in the near future.
It should be noted that Naseem Shah has also been asked to focus on first-class cricket in the coming season. Naseem Shah last played a Test against South Africa in Centurion in December 2024.
