Despite losing 1-2 in extra time to England in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals, Norway’s national football team received a warm welcome in the capital city of Oslo.

According to the report of the World News Agency, more than 100,000 fans came out to the streets and celebrated the historic celebration of the heroism of their team.

Thousands of people had started to gather in front of the Royal Palace since the morning, and when the team arrived, they were greeted with the traditional water.

The players met King Harold for the first time, after which they came to the palace steps to meet the people. On this, the audience showed great enthusiasm.

Actor Erling Holland was unable to attend the final stage of the ceremony as he had to leave early due to a late flight.

Holland and Sander Berge had to miss the event to catch their flight, coach Staley Solbakken said.

Later, the players traveled around the city in an open bus, but due to the unusual crowd, the speed of the bus stopped at several places and at one point it had to turn back.

When they came to the Municipal Square, thousands of fans were there to welcome their team.

Captain Martin Odegaard described the fans’ love as unbelievable and said that America’s support for Norway exceeded all his expectations.
