It has been nine years since Pakistan’s historic ICC Champions Trophy 2017 win, when the national team, led by captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, won the title by defeating arch-rivals India by 180 runs at the Oval Cricket Ground.

In this regard, a video was released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in which former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said that lifting the ICC Champions Trophy was the most memorable moment of his career. He said that this victory was the result of the joint work of the entire team, the coaching staff, the management and the selection committee.

Opener Fakhar Zaman said that playing in the final and that historic day is still fresh in his mind, Champions Trophy 2017 taught him a lot.

Spinner Abrar Ahmed said he watched the 2017 final session at home and was very happy with Pakistan’s win.

According to his words, when Sarfraz Ahmed took the cup to Karachi, he went to his home, but due to the rush, he could not see the cup up close, but seeing this cup up close today is a special moment for him.

Fast Bowler Khurram Shahzad said that he was part of the Pakistan team’s net in the camp organized for the Champions Trophy at the National Cricket Academy.

Aamir Jamal said that winning the Champions Cup was a moment of pride for all nations and the memories of the semifinals and finals are still unforgettable.

He said everyone was under pressure when Virat Kohli’s catch was dropped in the final over, but Shadab Khan’s brilliant catch on the very next ball brought Pakistan back into the contest.
