Report: Soheyl Imran. The British media has claimed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) is very concerned about the growing threat of corruption in franchise cricket.

According to British media, the ICC’s Integrity Unit has identified increasing elements of corruption in various leagues, on which the ICC has started developing a strong strategy to deal with corruption cases.

According to reports, the committee is working on the ICC to bring matters of franchise cricket under rules and regulations and the ICC is considering introducing stricter rules for franchise cricket.

British media say there are proposals to force more domestic leagues to accept the ICC, with integrity concerns over giving the ICC powers to intervene directly in the leagues.

According to the British report, illegal betting and dubious sponsorships have been declared as the biggest risk of corruption. Important decisions on anti-corruption measures are taken at the ICC’s annual meeting in Edinburgh.
