Former Australian cricketer Stuart McGill faces bail in drug case

According to Australian media, former leg-spinner Stuart McGill was convicted in a drug case in 2025 and sentenced to one year and 10 months in prison and 495 days of community service.

According to the Australian press, the former cricketer appealed to the Criminal Court of New South Wales, which was rejected by the court.

The Australian report said Stuart McGill was facing punishment for making money in a drug deal, but the former cricketer claimed he was not aware of any deal.

Note that Stuart McGill represented Australia in 44 Test matches between 1998 and 2008.
