A unique competition will take place in tennis. Women’s world number one Irina Sabalenka of Belarus will face Australian Nick Kyrgios. The men’s and women’s world tennis tournament will be held in Dubai on Sunday.
27-year-old Irina Sabalenka will take on former Wimbledon finalist Kyrgios, 30, in a tennis exhibition, a battle between men and women that has now become the center of attention around the world.
Australian world number 13 Nick Kyrgios competed against women’s world number one Sabalenka during the US Open in September. In an interview, he said that he does not need to give 100 percent to Sabalenka.
Sabalenka responded to her rival by saying that she is ready to accept Kyrgios’ challenge and that it would be an honor for her to represent female athletes from all over the world in this competition. He will play career-best tennis against Kyrgios.
It will be a best of three set match and if the deciding set goes to a tie, the tie will be 10 points.
