The first day of the Boxing Day Test of the Ashes series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) set a new record for cricket fan attendance.
According to Cricket Australia, 93,442 fans arrived at the stadium on the first day to watch this match between Australia and England.
This number surpassed the record of the 2015 World Cup final, which saw 93,013 spectators at the MCG.
Regarding the match, it was said that the Australian team was dismissed for 152 runs on the first day, but it continues in England and so far 4 players have been dismissed.
