The announcement of the national team for the tour of Sri Lanka scheduled in the first week of January is expected soon.
According to details, the T20 matches between Pakistan and Sri Lanka are scheduled to be played in Dambulla on January 7, 9 and 11, for which the selectors have started consultation on the selection of players.
Shadab Khan, who has put in an excellent performance in the Big Bash League, will get a chance against Sri Lanka in the series after recovering from hip problems.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Muhammad Rizwan and Hasan Ali were given NOC awards for the entire Big Bash League matches, while other young players including Abdul Samad and Muaz Sadeqat are also taking their place in the tour.
The PCB has to submit the initial list of names for the T20 World Cup before January 6, which can be changed by February 1.
