New Zealand won the three-Test series against the West Indies 2-0.

In the third test match played at Mount Mungoi, hosts New Zealand smashed West Indies by 323 runs on the fifth day of play today.

In the third test match played between the teams of the two countries, New Zealand won and decided to bat first and scored 575 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their first innings.

The West Indian team lost 420 runs by 155 runs, the Kiwi team once again posted 420 runs by scoring 306 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in their second match and thus West Indies won by 462 runs.

The visiting team scored 138 runs in pursuit of their target and lost by 323 runs.

It is worth mentioning here that for the first time in the history of Test cricket, both the openers from New Zealand scored centuries in both the matches.

New Zealand’s Tom Latham and Dion Conway set a record in the history of Test cricket, in the first match captain Tom Latham scored 137 runs and Dion Conway scored 227 runs, while in the second match Tom Latham scored 101 runs and Dion Conway scored 100 runs.

Before this test match, the first test match played in Christchurch was a draw, but in the second test match in Wellington, New Zealand won by 9 wickets.

New Zealand’s Dion Conway was named player of the match and Jacob Duffy was named player of the series.
