Pakistan U-19 team opener Samir Minhas broke many records with his brilliant performance in the final against India.
Multan’s Sameer Minhas scored a match-winning 172 runs off 113 balls in the final against India, making him the man of the match and the event.
He held the record for scoring most boundaries in an innings by Pakistan U-19 in Youth One Day International.
He scored 122 runs only with the help of boundaries, before which Shamail Hussain had scored 94 runs.
Samir Minhas scored 172 runs for Pakistan U-19 in the Youth One Day International, beating the previous record of 159 runs held by Shahzeb Khan.
Pakistani opener Sameer was the player of the tournament with 447 runs in the tournament. He said there was no pressure on him while batting, he played his natural game.
When Pakistan defeated India in the Under-19 Asia Cup, their brilliant performance and Pakistan’s victory was celebrated at Sameer Minhas’ house, sweets were distributed.
His father and brother looked overjoyed with the aggressive beat of the opening drum, friends, locals and family members danced to the beat of the drum at each boundary of Sameer.
