Report: Soheyl Imran. Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to retain Dasan Shanaka as the T20 World Cup captain.
According to Sri Lankan media, the new chairman of Sri Lanka’s election committee Pramodyaukramasinghe confirmed this.
Sri Lankan media say that Dasan Shanaka will also lead the team in the series against Pakistan and England. Pakistan is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka in January for three T20 matches.
The Sri Lankan media has also revealed that the Sri Lankan team has announced that they will retain the 25-member team for the World Cup and that the final list of the World Cup will be announced from this 25-member team.
Dasan Shanaka replaced Cherith Asalanka who dropped out of the Pakistan tour and then Dasan Shanaka captained the tri-nation series.
