Big Bash League (BBL) team Sydney Sixers batsman Josh Phillip has expressed confidence in Babar Azam’s defense despite his slow start in BBL 15.
It must be noted that Babar Azam failed to score double figures in his first two matches for Sydney Sixers. He could only score 2 runs in his debut match against Perth while he was dismissed for 9 runs in the match against Adelaide.
Josh Phillip said that Babar Azam is a world-class player and adjusting to Australian innings is a challenge for any foreign batsman but he will return to form soon.
He said that after playing few more matches and sessions, Babar Azam will be fully recovered, his record is very good.
The Sixers defender also dismissed any worries about the team’s poor start and said that there is no panic in the atmosphere of the team as the Sixers have reached the finals after losing the previous two matches.
According to Josh Philip, Babar Azam is not only a great player but also a fun person and the team is happy to have him with them.
