Report: Soheyl Imran. The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation issued a stern warning to the national Kabaddi player who was wearing the Indian team jersey and waving the Indian flag. After the incident, an emergency meeting of the General Board of the Federation was held.
According to Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Secretary Rana Sarwar, President Chaudhry Shafi Hussain called this meeting on December 27.
He said that 16 players from Pakistan participated in a tournament in Bahrain, but it was not Pakistan’s national team and permission was not sought.
The secretary of the federation informed that it is an autonomous team that has used the name of Pakistan and neither the government nor the federation has been informed to participate in this activity.
He clarified that it is not acceptable for a national player to play in the name of the Indian team and raise the Indian flag, so the matter will be investigated and the most severe action will be taken against those responsible.
Rana Sarwar also said that action will be taken against the protesters and no one will be allowed to carry out illegal activities. He assured that defamation of the name of Pakistan will not be allowed under any circumstances.
According to Rana Sarwar, although players from many countries play together in clubs, playing and hanging the flag in the name of the national team is unfortunate.
